1000 Wild Thyme Flower Seeds Thymus pulegioides Spreading Ground Cover - Bees Love This
Wild Thyme is a fragrant, spreading perennial that is native to northwest Europe. Plants form dense mats that create an excellent ground-cover. Plants are 6-12 inches tall, and the lavender flowers appear just above the foliage. As with many species in the mint family, the flowers of Wild Thyme are very attractive to honey bees and wild bees.
Wild Thyme Flower Thymus pulegioides - Sowing: Start thyme herb seeds indoors 5-6 weeks before the last frost, sowing them 1/4" deep in a flat. Keep them out of direct sunlight, but make sure the soil temperature is at least 70 degrees F. Germination may take up to 28 days. Well after the last frost, transplant the seedlings 9-12" apart in sandy soil and full sun. Direct sowing is possible but not recommended, since the seeds take much longer to germinate in the cool soil of spring; this significantly shortens the growing season.
All multiple orders of the same seed are put in the same bag. For example if you order 500 beefsteak tomato seeds x 3 then 1500 seeds will be put in the same bag. We do not send out 3 individual bags with 500 in each. This goes for all seeds unless they are listings of different seeds.
