500 BLUE FLAX (Prairie Flax, Lewis Blue Flax) Linum Perenne Lewisii Flower Seeds
Lewis Flax is the true native flax of the western U.S. It is found in mixed grass, sagebrush, pinon-juniper, mountain brush and aspen communities and in openings in coniferous forests. Plants do best in full sun and dry conditions with well-drained, infertile, sandy soils. It reseeds easily in optimum conditions and is also used as a fire suppressant species in green strip plantings due to its semi-evergreen nature.
Sowing: Direct sow in late fall or early spring, planting just below the surface of the soil. This species does not transplant well.
Growing: Water occasionally, controlling weeds to allow the seedlings to become established. Full growth and flowering usually does not occur until the second season of growth. Mature plants tolerate drought well, but flourish with occasional watering. Unless the seeds are being harvested, cut back the plant after flowering to allow for new growth next season.
All multiple orders of the same seed are put in the same bag. For example if you order 500 beefsteak tomato seeds x 3 then 1500 seeds will be put in the same bag. We do not send out 3 individual bags with 500 in each. This goes for all seeds unless they are listings of different seeds.
NOTE: ALL GROWING INFO AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON ITEM PAGE.
