Five Spot (Nemophila Maculata) - Create a lovely carpet of delicate blooms from wildflower seed! Five Spot Nemophila Maculata is a annual wild flower that easily and quickly grows from wild flower seeds. It is a hardy annual that grows very, very fast and blooms profusely, and it dies back with the first frost of fall. Although an annual, Five Spot may re-seed if the seeds fall on bare ground. The 1 inch, 5-petaled flowers are very attractive, white with vivid purple spots at the tip of each petal. The foliage is very attractive too.

Five Spot wildflower is a prolific bloomer all spring, with a low spreading habit. It prefers full sun to dappled shade in various soil conditions. A great item for hanging baskets. This wild flower species will tolerate a variety of conditions, and doesn't seem to care whether soil is heavy or sandy. However, it prefers cool weather, so if yours is very hot, try to plant your wildflower seed where it will receive some shade.

Sowing: Direct sow in early spring, pressing lightly into the surface of the soil since this seed needs light to germinate. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination, which should occur within 10-20 days. When the seedlings can safely be handled, thin or transplant for wider spacing. For an early start, start the seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors.

All multiple orders of the same seed are put in the same bag. For example if you order 500 beefsteak tomato seeds x 3 then 1500 seeds will be put in the same bag. We do not send out 3 individual bags with 500 in each. This goes for all seeds unless they are listings of different seeds.

NOTE: ALL GROWING INFO AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON ITEM PAGE.

If you can’t find germinating and instructions online you can find them on the item page. Our goal is to save money everywhere we can so we can pass those savings on to you.
